Terms of Service

Our terms and conditions

Last updated: 17 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Daily Wayfinder (the “Service”), operated by Niklas Wibelius in Gothenburg, Sweden. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Contact: dailywayfinder@gmail.com.

1. What Daily Wayfinder is

A private journaling app with a Christian orientation. You write your reflections; the Service uses AI to generate a Bible passage, a prayer, and a short pastoral reflection in response.

Daily Wayfinder is not a church, a counsellor, a medical or mental-health provider, or a crisis service. The reflections it produces are not pastoral counsel, doctrinal authority, therapy, or medical advice.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 to create an account on your own (13–15 with a parent or guardian's consent). Keep your login credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe anyone else's rights.
  • Submit content about another identifiable person without their permission.
  • Submit content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or threatening.
  • Try to jailbreak the AI, bypass safety filters, or extract prompts.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or interfere with the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product, train another AI model, or resell access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

4. Your content

You own what you write. To run the Service you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, and process your entries — including sending them to our AI sub-processor — solely to operate Daily Wayfinder for you. The licence ends when you delete the entry or account, except for backups that age out as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your entries, do not use them to train public AI models, and do not share them with advertisers. Keep your own copy of anything essential — do not rely on the Service as your only archive.

5. AI output

The Bible passages, prayers, and reflections are generated by an AI model. They can be inaccurate, out of context, biased, or unsuitable for your situation — particularly in matters of mental health, medical care, relationships, abuse, or crisis. The Service is not a substitute for a trusted pastor, professional counselling or therapy, medical care, or emergency services.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, please contact local emergency services immediately, or call a crisis line in your country. Do not rely on Daily Wayfinder for help in an emergency.

6. Cost of the Service

The core journaling experience is currently free. We may later introduce optional paid features or voluntary donations; if we do, separate billing terms presented at checkout will apply and payments will be processed by Stripe.

7. Availability, changes, and termination

We offer the Service on an as-is, best-effort basis with no guaranteed uptime. We may add, change, remove features, or discontinue the Service; if we discontinue it, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your entries.

You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if required by law; where practical we will tell you first.

8. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate or theologically sound. Nothing here limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Swedish or EU law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daily Wayfinder and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, spiritual outcomes, mental or emotional harm, or goodwill. Our total cumulative liability for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period, or (b) EUR 50. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes will be brought before the competent Swedish courts, with the District Court of Gothenburg (Göteborgs tingsrätt) as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring the case elsewhere. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Questions: dailywayfinder@gmail.com.
